A study in JAMA Dermatology found that methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus has become more resistant to ciprofloxacin, trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, gentamicin sulfate and clindamycin. Meanwhile, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus is becoming more prevalent among S. aureus isolates.
