Federal regulators would be wise to pay attention to the declaration by Chase Carey, News Corp.'s chief operating officer, that the company could convert its Fox network to a cable channel if the Aereo streaming service isn't shut down, columnist Harry A. Jessell writes. "[I]f [over-the-air] viewers suddenly couldn't find their favorite Fox programs, it would be the fault of overly permissive courts and a Congress that failed to defend Fox's broadcast copyrights," he writes. Fox has other options to defend itself against Aereo, Jessell writes, including expanding station streaming and advancing mobile DTV.
