People with physically demanding jobs have a higher risk of stroke and heart disease compared with patients in a control group, according to new research. Another study found men with such jobs who engaged in moderate- to high-intensity exercise faced four times the risk of coronary heart disease. "As with many areas of medicine, a one-size-fits-all approach to leisure exercise might not work," said Dr. Lawrence Phillips. The findings were presented at the European Society of Cardiology meeting.
