Global grain production is expected to reach 1.91 billion metric tons in the 2013-2014 season, up 7% from the current season on improved yields and more plantings, according to the International Grains Council. The world's corn output is projected to rise to 939 million metric tons, compared with 851 million metric tons this season, the IGC said. Global corn ending stocks are expected to swell to 143 million metric tons, up from 117 million metric tons in the current season, the council said.
