Nearly 60% of consumers are using their bank's mobile application, outpacing the use of bank websites, according to a survey by the Interactive Advertising Bureau, InMobi and Viggle. Smartphones are also being used by more than 4 in 10 consumers for paying phone bills and buying music, movies and apps, the report shows. "Consumers show a definite willingness and interest in using their smartphones as a mechanism for making payments," says Shrikant Latkar, vice president of global marketing at InMobi.
