Google reportedly has purchased Wavii, a developer of a news-summary application, for about $30 million in cash. Google and Wavii declined to comment on the report. Apple was interested in buying Wavii to incorporate its technology into the Siri personal digital assistant, a source said. The company will integrate with Google's Knowledge Graph division, Alexia Tsotsis writes.
