The Air Force Research Laboratory and NASA are collaborating on a computing system, the Next Generation Space Processor, that can handle tasks such as coordinating satellites and landing on Mars. "NASA's Space Technology Program is teaming with the Air Force to develop the next generation spaceflight processor requirements and propose solutions to meet future high performance space computing needs in the upcoming decades," NASA's Michael Gazarik said in a statement.
