Extreme weather is affecting farming, water and power generation in Sri Lanka, writes Amantha Perera. A World Food Programme study found that 67% of Sri Lankan households have been hindered by flooding and drought. "Dealing with changing climate patterns and their impacts is not cheap. The longer you wait to act, the higher the bill will be," says Sri Lanka official W.L. Sumathipala.
