High-school students who figured out how to ensure safe drinking water after a disaster as part of a science challenge issued by Lockheed Martin will be rewarded with scholarships that may inspire them to take their science, technology, engineering and math education further. As part of Lockheed Martin's fifth annual Mississippi Information Technology Day, teams of high-school students from the Jackson, Miss., area participated in the competition, which earned winners more than $20,000 collectively in scholarships.
