Coordinating their efforts to develop wind power would be beneficial for both Wyoming and Colorado, according to studies from the University of Wyoming and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. The first study showed that Colorado would benefit from buying wind power from Wyoming, while the second study found that building a wind-power transmission line between the two states would create 4,000 jobs and bring in nearly $4 billion in economic activity. The studies were developed as part of a campaign by the Wyoming Infrastructure Authority to promote the state's wind resources.
