Overweight adults who used a weight-loss application called My Meal Mate lost an average of 10 pounds over six months, compared with a loss of 6.5 pounds for people who kept a paper food diary and 3 pounds for those who used an online food journal, U.K. researchers recently reported. Participants who used the app also made more frequent entries than those using the paper or online diaries.
