Shoppers are more receptive to ads when they are actively looking for something to buy, even ads that are somewhat unrelated to what they're looking to buy, according to a Shopzilla-Aisle A survey. Sixty-two percent of the those surveyed agreed that "When shopping online, I'm receptive to additional products or services that are relevant to me (even if I'm not currently considering buying them) and targeted to my interests and buying preferences."
