Teachers prefer professional learning side-by-side with colleagues, either digitally, through teaching teams or through coaching by master teachers, according to a survey of 2,400 educators by the National Center for Literacy Education, Learning Forward Communications Director Tracy Crow writes in this blog post. The survey is the basis of the report, "Remodeling Literacy Learning: Making Room for What Works," that calls for more collaboration as a way to improve literacy instruction across all grade levels and content areas, and says principals of modeling collaboration and building trust in schools, Crow writes.
