Cleveland Middle School in Tennessee recently integrated World Book Day into its reading initiative, in which the goal is for each classroom to have books available in every subject. Students had an opportunity to win books in the school auditorium, with each book marked with a Lexile number, which assesses the book's degree of difficulty. "Will we see scores go up? I hope so, but we are going to create a love of reading," said English teacher Sandy Farlow.
