Posting the amount of brisk walking a diner needs to do to work off the calories from lunch may prove a more effective way to convince people to make healthier eating choices than posting just the calorie counts, according to researchers at Texas Christian University. The study of 300 18-to-30-year-olds found there was no difference in orders from menus with and without calorie counts, but orders from menus that displayed exercise requirements came in 100 calories lower on average.
