A two-year, $8.4 billion transportation budget has been approved by the Washington state House of Representatives. The money would go toward infrastructure and maintenance. Some current projects, such as the Alaskan Way Viaduct tunnel replacement and the floating bridge that is part of the State Route 520 project, would receive some of the funding. Meanwhile, a Pennsylvania state Senate bill that would put an additional $2.5 billion toward Pennsylvania's transportation budget over the next five years has been introduced.
