Twilio is aligning with Google's Cloud Platform to spread the use of its application programming interface among developers. "This makes it the first time that a voice and messaging API-based solution has been integrated with the Google App Engine, giving developers on the platform ... the ability to integrate voice and messaging services into their Web and mobile apps by way of a few lines of code," Ingrid Lunden writes. For Google, the move neutralizes the advantage of Amazon Web Services, Parse and Microsoft's Azure, which had previously integrated with Twilio.
