Cutting funding for space missions raises the threat to the U.S. from collisions with space debris along with foreign threats such as laser weapons and GPS jamming, Gen. William Shelton, the head of Air Force Space Command, said this week. "I'll be advocating for space, but there will be lots of other people, just at the Air Force table, advocating for their priorities, as well," Shelton said to an audience at the annual National Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, Colo.
