Foreign energy firms will find it hard to replicate the U.S. unconventional natural gas boom in other countries, said Joseph Geagea, corporate vice president of Chevron. Decades of seismic data have helped U.S. drillers identify hot spots, and this is one of their largest advantages, Geagea said. "We don't have that data anywhere else in the world. For us to jump and say that will happen elsewhere very quickly is not something we have in our current point of view," he said.
