ABC is expected to begin allowing iOS device owners to download live around-the-clock streams of the broadcast network's feeds this week in New York and Philadelphia in advance of expanding the service this summer to the six markets where ABC owns stations, according to published reports. After a six-week open period, ABC will limit the streams to authenticated cable and satellite subscribers. The Disney unit is said to have hopes of eventually providing the feeds to iPhone and iPad users in its affiliated markets as soon as the network can negotiate revenue sharing-deals with the TV stations.
