A notice on Amazon.com that was pulled within 24 hours suggested that Acer may soon debut an 8.1-inch Windows 8 tablet. However, the company said it is waiting until later this year, when Windows releases a new version of Windows RT, to decide whether it will make a Windows-enabled tablet. At the same time, Acer launched its Iconia A1, a 7.9-inch Android tablet, as well as two touch-screen notebooks.
