Researchers have launched Autism BrainNet to collect the donated brains of young children who have died to study the illness. Funded by The Simons Foundation and Autism Speaks, the bank will collect tissues and studies done on the brains will be made available through the Autism BrainNet portal. Four partners, including Autism Tissue Program in Boston and Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, have already signed up to do research.
