BP continues to fulfill its obligations associated with the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill even though the company has already gone "above and beyond" requirements, an executive said. "We've made tremendous progress in the cleaning of those shorelines," Mike Utsler, who heads the company's Gulf of Mexico restoration project, said during a luncheon gathering at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston. He also discussed the latest technological advancements that were developed, the lessons that were learned and the industry collaboration in the incident's aftermath.
