A vast majority of employers surveyed last year said they planned to recruit new hires via social media in 2013. Another survey found that nearly two thirds of building service contractors made use of social media. When Baltimore contractor Jani-King turned to LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook, it found three solid candidates for a sales rep job within a few weeks, faring far better than it did with traditional job boards. "[W]e’re continuing a recruiting process using LinkedIn connections to maintain a future steady flow of interest in the event positions are created or opened," said Jani-King's David Kelly, the Baltimore regional director.
