A personal website may be an important tool for finding a job, recruiter Lindsay Olson writes in this blog post. Olson cites a survey by Workfolio, which found 56% of hiring managers were impressed by such sites, but only 7% of job seekers had one. Olson advises candidates to pay for a professional domain name and post a photo, short bio and resume highlights. "You can also show off your expertise by including blog posts on topics that relate to the field you work in, or want to work in," Olson writes.
