Chesapeake Energy expects to ultimately recover about 342 million barrels of oil equivalent from the 600 wells that it drilled in the Eagle Ford Shale play in Texas. The company this year also sees production of an additional 1 million barrels of oil. "This is largely attributable to outstanding results in the Eagle Ford, where we are drilling longer laterals, achieving better than expected well performance, and benefiting from increased gathering system and processing capacity," said Jeffery Fisher, an executive vice president.
