The SCAMPS program at Boston Children’s Hospital standardizes care across medical conditions and allows guidelines to evolve as new information becomes available, according to a report in Health Affairs. Program data showed SCAMPS has led to a 27% decrease in the cost of care for six cardiovascular diagnoses and an increase from 20% to 75% in the number of physicians who comply with recommended specialist referrals.
