If you have a graduate degree or make more than $75,000 a year, you're more likely to favor the use of smart meters and smart grid technology, Navigant Research found in a survey of U.S. consumers. Close to half of those respondents expressed a "favorable" or "very favorable" opinion about smart grids. Those views were held by 41% of respondents overall, up from 31% in 2011.
