Cloud-computing service-level agreements are often written for the provider's benefit and lack flexibility that customers need, a report from the Cloud Standards Customer Council says. To avoid that scenario, businesses and IT leaders need to clearly identify business use and performance goals, the CSCC says. "We definitely expect that as the industry matures, and as there are more and more discussions about use cases between providers and users, we'll start seeing more educated consumers," said Claude Baudoin, who helped compile the council report.
