T-Mobile US parent Deutsche Telekom clarified the carrier's merger agreement with MetroPCS telling shareholders on Thursday that a loophole exists in a restriction that prevents the German telecom from selling the carrier within 18 months. "There is an exception clause in the contract regarding the lock-up. We are in a position to sell all shares in one go," Chief Financial Officer Timotheus Hoettges said at the company's annual meeting. Also, DT signed a deal with Vodafone that will let the British-based operator offer broadband and video services over the German telecom's fixed-line network.
