The Florida Tomato Exchange has filed a lawsuit in the U.S. Court of International Trade challenging the terms of the Commerce Department's recently renewed agreement with Mexican tomato growers, which establishes different prices for field grown and greenhouse or protected production. "Since Day One, we have simply been seeking to have any suspension agreement negotiated by the Commerce Department with the Mexican exporters comply with the very specific provisions of U.S. law," said the Exchange's executive vice president, Reggie Brown.
