Ford Motor was the lead presenter at a Clean Cities seminar this week near Washington, D.C., and it sang the praises of alternative-fuel vehicles, including propane autogas, writes Burney Simpson of the Propane Education & Research Council. "Ford sees propane autogas as a fuel with strong potential with fleets. It is cost competitive, emits less greenhouse gases, has an extensive national distribution system, and the inexpensive fueling stations are icing on the cake," he writes. PERC also gave a presentation at the event, discussing propane-autogas safety programs.
