Fox is planning its first miniseries events this fall, including a 12-episode version of "24" and a "mind-bending thriller" from M. Night Shyamalan, executives said at the network's upfront. Fox, which has seen tentpole "American Idol" lose steam this season, will also roll out 11 new offerings and feature projects from top producers Seth MacFarlane and J.J. Abrams.
