APS Special Interest Groups (SIGs) provide a forum for specialized member interaction and allows members, with like interests and issues, to easily interact with each other to develop an extended network of resources and information. Participation in one or more SIGs is open to all members, regardless of their discipline. Current SIGs include: advancing the science of quality, basic science, clinical trials, complementary and alternative medicine, ethics, genetics and pain, geriatric pain, measurement of pain and its impact, nursing, pain and disparities, pain education, pain in infants, children and adolescents, pain rehabilitation, palliative care, pharmacotherapy, psychosocial and pain in sickle cell disease.
