Israel's Labor, Welfare and Health Committee approved a law requiring pharmaceutical companies that do not include Arabic and Russian translations of package information to pay fines for each three-month delay after today. Products already on the shelf are not affected by the fines. Drug companies had been given a warning two years ago about the change, according to Health Minister Yael German. Approximately 12 million packages of 200 drugs have been translated, said Daniel Berman, head of the pharma trade group Pharma Israel.
