Kakao is teaming up with IGAWorks to add its mobile ad platform adPOPcorn to KakaoTalk's mobile-messaging application, Natasha Lomas writes. IGAWorks is reaching out to game developers in an effort to introduce them to Kakao's app. The ad-supported model differs from rivals WhatsApp, which uses subscription fees, and Line, which relies upon in-app purchasing, Lomas writes.
