Microsoft believes the new Nokia Lumia 521 can win mass acceptance by including a few high-end features on a mid-level phone at the low-end price of $150 -- without a subsidy. Wal-Mart will begin pushing T-Mobile US' $30 unlimited data and text plan with the 4G phone later this month following a sellout performance last week on the Home Shopping Network. The move is a shift from Microsoft's general strategy of marketing high-end Nokia handsets. "There is an opportunity for us to offer a very high quality device in the mainstream," Windows Phone unit chief Terry Myerson said.
