Employees at Bridgetown Natural Foods in Portland, Ore., spend their days baking and packaging natural and organic products, but company owners realized they might not know how to use them. So the company now offers workshops on healthy eating, grocery budgeting and planning meals with seasonal ingredients, and workers are paid to attend. A report from the National Small Business Association and Humana found that most small-business owners know employees' health affects their finances, but only 22% offer wellness programs.
