A newspaper ad by two business groups vilifying the Cape Wind offshore wind project in Massachusetts brings up the same misguided criticisms that have been disproven time and again, writes Mark Rodgers, communications director at Cape Wind. The project has been extensively reviewed for 12 years, during which it gained the approval of 17 federal and state agencies, Rodgers states. "After this careful vetting, most experts agree that Cape Wind will create significant benefits for Massachusetts and the surrounding region such as reducing air pollution and creating hundreds of clean energy jobs," Rodgers writes.
