The Western New York Economic Development Council last week approved a plan to build a workforce training center in Buffalo, N.Y., that is expected to cost at least $10 million to build. "We have a shortage of skilled manufacturing workers in Western New York," said Chris Sansone, president of the Buffalo Niagara Manufacturing Alliance.
