New York elementary school students were more likely to choose a healthy entree at lunch if they pre-ordered the dishes electronically, according to a study in JAMA Pediatrics. About 29% of students who ordered their meals electronically chose the healthier option, compared with 15% who did so in the lunch line when they were faced with more choices and temptations, researchers said.
