The Technology Education and Literacy in Schools program has placed more than 100 high-tech professionals into 35 schools in seven states to volunteer as part-time teachers. The program began in 2009 by California software developer Kevin Wang, who says the nation needs to teach computer science to be competitive in the future. "It really should be the fourth science course in high school, right beside biology, physics and chemistry," Wang said.
