The TV Everywhere login process for authenticating users keeps getting easier, according to Matt Strauss, Comcast's senior vice president of digital and emerging platforms. "We've narrowed it down to a three-step process," he said. "The next evolution of this will probably be a one-step or no-step process. You're auto authenticated -- you don't have to do anything." Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Charter Communications, Verizon and DIRECTV are among those using cross-domain authentication, which lets pay-TV subscribers log in to one TV Everywhere site and remain logged in as they visit others.
