The U.S. Geological Survey's revised estimate for the recoverable reserves in the Williston Basin has attracted drilling interest from several energy firms -- including Continental Resources, Halliburton and Schlumberger -- observers say. The basin in North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana contains about 7.4 billion barrels of oil, 6.7 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and 0.53 billion barrels of natural gas liquids, the agency said. "This will mean a lot of jobs," said Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D.
