White parents in Michigan were more likely than minority parents to use age-appropriate car seats for child passengers, according to a report presented at the Pediatric Academic Societies meeting. Parents who said that using car restraints for children was an important personal choice were more likely to use the safety seats than those who were motivated by what others might think and those who reported no motivation.
