Demand for cosmetic surgery accounted for 73% of all plastic surgery procedures performed last year, driven in part by people's concern with their appearance on social media, according to a poll of American Academy of Facial and Reconstructive Surgery members. "Between high-definition television, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, how you look in photos and video clips has definitely become a driver for all cosmetic procedures from Botox to neck lifts," said facial plastic surgeon Sam Rizk. Breast augmentation remains the most popular cosmetic procedure, according to a report from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
