The time has come for U.S. corporations to make real moves to promote more gender diversity on their boards, writes Susan Bulkeley Butler, CEO of the SBB Institute for the Development of Women Leaders. Political leaders in countries like Germany, Japan and Norway are taking steps to encourage more female representation, and U.S. corporations should limit terms and take their own steps to promote diversity instead of waiting for government requirements.
