T-Mobile USA, which now operates as T-Mobile US since merging with MetroPCS last week, has sold more than 500,000 iPhones since the carrier began carrying the Apple device April 12, the company disclosed Tuesday while reporting first-quarter earnings. T-Mobile said it reversed recent subscriber slides in the period by adding 579,000 customers -- a total of 3,000 branded subscribers -- with contracted losses falling to 199,000. Revenues dropped 7% as the carrier began implementing its no-contract strategy and churn fell to 1.9%, T-Mobile's lowest churn rate in close to five years.
