Facebook's possible acquisition of location-based traffic service Waze could open the door to a huge trove of user data and ad dollars, Ryan Tate writes. That's because Waze works by constantly uploading users' locations in order to detect their speed, and thus to deduce traffic conditions. In Facebook's hands, that technology could be used to develop what Tate calls a "stalkery version of Siri," providing real-time, location-aware reminders, promotions and alerts.
