The proliferation of mobile devices and consumers' penchant for always-on connectivity is opening a sea of opportunity for emerging criminal gangs looking for new ways to exploit targets, according to a report from the Anti-Phishing Working Group. The report found malicious exploits focused on the mobile sector are being developed at no less than five times faster than those that targeted PCs. "When you look how that underground economy works, you can see a big infrastructure being built for mobile electronic crime," said Dave Jevans, the group's chairman.
